I remember one day I was on my way to work.
It had been a pretty crappy start to the day.
I woke up late and I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
I was late heading out the house and remembered I had to run to the bus stop.
By the time I made it there I was exhausted and just over the day already.
The bus driver pulls up on me and ask me “hey pretty lady why aren’t you smiling??”
Me already frustrated from the events of the day said “I’m just having a bad day”.
He puzzled, as I found my way to the seat. “A whole bad day? Well I don’t believe that.”
Then he said something to me that I will never forget.
“I look at life as if I am baking a cake. If I get to wake up to see another day then I have already baked the cake. Everything that comes after that is just the icing on the cake.”
He then went on to say that he didn’t believe in whole bad days. Only bad moments in the day.
Now that I think about what he said it always makes perfect sense.
We may have bad moments in our day, but if we are alive to see the day then it’s not a whole bad day
Yes there may be bad moments in the day but not a whole bad day.
So as you are waking up this morning my readers and going on through the day just remember that Waking up is the cake.
Everything else is just the icing.
I hope this helped someone Today.
Thanks for reading.
